-Sebastian Birkhoven, geboren in Santiago de Chile, ist ein Medienkünstler, der Ende der 90er mit seiner Familie nach Deutschland zog. Nachdem er einige Zeit in Spanien und Kolumbien verbrachte, kam er 2006 nach Wien, wo er anfing, Architektur an der Technischen Universität zu studieren. 2013 begann er sein Studium am Institut für Digitale Kunst bei Ruth Schnell an der Universität für Angewandte Kunst Wien. Sein Hauptinteresse gilt Kunst im öffentlichen Raum, sowie Klang-, Licht-, und Rauminstallationen. Viele von Sebastians Arbeiten beschäftigen sich mit sozialen Problemen und kritisieren Aspekte der modernen Gesellschaft, Politik, und Medien.

-Sebastian Birkhoven, born and raised in Santiago de Chile, is a media artist who moved to Germany at the end of the 90s together with his family. After spending some time in Spain and Colombia, he finally came to Vienna in 2006, where he started to study architecture at the Technical University Vienna. In 2013, he began his studies of Digital Arts with Ruth Schnell at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. His main interest is on art in the public space, as well as sound, light, and other installations. Many of Sebastian’s works focus on socially problematic issues and involve a critique of aspects of modern society, politics, and the media
